On Monday, 7 October, ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10 October, A R Manley and Son Ltd had the pleasure of hosting a very welcome visit from the dedicated team at Lighthouse - The Construction Charity.

Justin and Dale from Lighthouse delivered an informative, engaging, and crucial talk about the extensive range of services that the charity has to offer to individuals working in the construction industry, as well as their families.

Lighthouse operates a 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline that provides free and confidential support and advice on a vast array of emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing issues. Whether individuals are seeking legal advice, assistance with addiction, grappling with suicidal thoughts, or dealing with bereavement, the Lighthouse team is committed to doing everything they can to help - all at no cost to those in need.

These essential services are available for free for all construction workers and their families.

It is a sobering statistic that every single working day, two construction workers tragically take their own lives. Therefore, the work of Lighthouse is absolutely essential in preventing these heartbreaking cases and supporting those who are struggling.
