Wrexham Butchers Market renovation
The renovation of the Wrexham Butchers Market has now been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone for the local community. The multi-million pound project was expertly undertaken by our friends at SWG Construction, in partnership with Wrexham Borough Council to bring this vision to life. It was an honour for A R Manley and Son Ltd to be chosen to manufacture and refurbish a number of the shop fronts within the market, and we are extremely proud of the final project.
A number of historic shop fronts had to be saved and preserved as much as possible, so these valuable structures were thoughtfully incorporated alongside new frontages to create a harmonious blend of the old and the new. The skilled team meticulously copied and included the original moulding patterns, intricate sections, and distinctive design features, ensuring that the pilasters were expertly replicated to match the original craftsmanship.
We would like to thank all individuals involved in this project, both in the workshop and on site, as well as SWG Construction, for their efforts in making this project run smoothly and in a manner that is respectful of the heritage and significance of the market. It is truly wonderful to see the market restored to its former glory, bustling with activity, and once again enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike.
